Riviera Village merchants and art galleries stay open until 8 p.m. The energy will be fueled by live music at the north east corner of Avenue I and Catalina from 6 to 8 p.m.

Yoga on the Octagon

The Redondo Beach Pier Association and Cancer Support Community presents Yoga on the Octagon the second Saturday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend and take part in this all level yoga class where the International Boardwalk meets the Redondo Beach Pier (the octagon below Kincaid’s).

Participants should bring a yoga mat, towel and bottled water.

LIVE is a FREE series of Thursday night community-building activities designed to enhance artistic skills and develop presentation confidence in local artists. Small refreshments and good vibes will be provided. LIVE is open to everyone 16 years and older. Events are FREE but a donation of $12 is much appreciated to help defray costs.

Hang out with your friends and work on your figure drawing skills with a live costumed model. No instructors and no pressure – draw as you feel! Attendees should bring their own materials; easels will be provided if necessary.

Mindfulness 4Beach Cities Health District offers a FREE Mindfulness Drop-In the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

Take 30 minutes to downshift and practice mindfulness techniques.The monthly sessions will be led by trained Beach Cities Health District staff. No prior experience with meditation or mindfulness is required.

Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in and get settled.

Community Beautification @ Seaside Heroes Park

Seaside-Heroes-Park-Community-Beautification-EventJoin volunteers at Seaside Heroes Park for the monthly Community Beautification Event the second Saturday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m.

All are welcome to get down and dirty and lend a hand cleaning, weeding, and dead heading – including groups or individuals who need community service hours.

Even though the park is small, it’s a huge job to keep it looking good. As of January 2019, volunteers have put over 1300 work hours into the project. This is a labor of love and the organizers are immensely grateful to anyone who gives their time.

Walking Tours of Historic Old Torrance

This FREE docent-led tour begins at the Torrance Historical Museum at 1:30 p.m. and will point out many historic sites and landmarks in Old Torrance founded in 1912.

Breweries have become a favorite destination for not only beer aficionados, but those looking for an unpretentious neighborhood joint where they can kick back and enjoy a cold one.

Ride the Trains @ Wilson Park

First Sunday & Third Saturday

Southern-California-Live Steamers sbbjSouthern California Live Steamers invites the public to Ride the Trains at Wilson Park.

They host public run days on the first Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the third Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. every month. The trains are located at the eastern end of the park near the picnic tables.

Southern California Live Steamers is a 501(c)3 non-profit and an all-volunteer organization that provides free rides during public run days. Each volunteer is a member of the City of Torrance volunteer program.

Second Sundays @ Two

Second Sundays

violinRolling Hills United Methodist Church presents Second Sundays At Two concert series at 2 p.m. on select second Sundays throughout the year.

RHUMC Music Director Charles Dickerson serves as Artistic Advisor for the series of free afternoon recitals and chamber music concerts from September through June, except December and the month of Easter, when there are other musical offerings at RHUMC. Admission is FREE but donations are appreciated! 100% of donations go directly to the artists.

El Segundo Museum of Art

ESMoA - sbbjThe El Segundo Museum of Art (ESMoA) opened its doors in January 2013 with the intent to make art more accessible through creative and interactive experiences designed to engage the community.

Founded by Brian and Eva Sweeney and curated by Bernhard Zuenkeler, ESMoA is a non-profit art space located in a new building next to the former post office on Main Street.

Vintage Car Rides @ The Automobile Driving Museum

First & Third Sunday

011@2013-03-25T03;27;04Southern California has a rich automotive history and the Automobile Driving Museum (ADM) is a favorite of car aficionados.

Located in El Segundo, the ADM exists to preserve automotive history. The ADM has an impressive, rotating collection of 130 classic, antique and historic cars on display.

Several Southern California collector car clubs showcase their vehicles at the ADM and on any given weekend you can find collections of particular makes and models.
