The Western Museum of Flight Celebrity Lecture Series presents Women in the US Armed Forces on Saturday, August 21 at 11 a.m.
Women have served with the US Armed Forces since the time of the American Revolution. Officially sanctioned at the dawn of the 20th Century, opportunities for women have steadily expanded until today when virtually every professional field is open to those who qualify. Guest speaker, Rear Admiral Sandra Adams, will describe the steady progress and impressive contributions women have made in the US Armed Forces. The opportunities are many and serve as an inspiration and motivation for ambitious young women from all walks of society.
Admission is free for museum members and $10 for non-members.
