The City of Gardena is hosting a Used Oil Filter Exchange event on Saturday, April 24 at Autozone.
People who bring in an old oil filter to these events will get a voucher to get a new oil filter for free at AutoZone.
They will also be giving away free oil change kits which include a 6-qt oil drain container, shop towels, funnels, filter bag and filter grip, plus some educational materials from the City.
This event is funded by a grant from the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). The City of Gardena has not hosted a filter exchange since 2019, due to COVID-related cancellations.
The event will take place at AutoZone, located at 14742 Crenshaw Boulevard, Gardena, CA.
