Applications Now Being Accepted for Undergraduate Internship at ESMoA

El Segundo Museum of Art is now accepting applications for the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship.

Calling all undergraduate students! Are you interested in learning what it’s like to work for an art nonprofit? Would you like to know more about career opportunities in the arts? Apply now for two paid positions at ESMoA for Summer 2021.

Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship: Communications and Digital Media Intern
The Communications and Digital Media Intern will assist the ESMoA team with marketing and engagement, curate content for ESMoA’s online platforms, and help design promotional materials for our annual Video Art + Film.

Additionally, the Intern will have some archival responsibilities such as saving and storing social media posts on ESMoA’s digital archive. Among the many educational opportunities for the Communications and Digital Media Intern are on-the-job experiences and instruction that will:

• Enable them to create effective marketing campaigns to promote the programs of a non-profit arts organization (25%),
• Write incisive and persuasive copy that maintains an appropriate and consistent editorial tone (25%),
• Demonstrate familiarity with photo editing/graphic design software and social media platforms (25%),
• Develop relationships with arts professionals and artists in an energetic and creative environment (25%).
Working closely with ESMoA’s Director of Information and Media, the Intern’s final project will the the design and coordination of a social media campaign promoting ESMoA’s fifth annual Video Art + Film Festival in December 2021.

Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship: Education and Public Programs Intern
The Education and Public Program Intern will focus on the development and implementation of ESMoA’s arts education programs including talks, open studios, CREATE workshops for all ages, JUST DRAW for adults, and public programs. Additionally, the Intern will be instrumental in developing curriculum materials for ESMoA’s fall Experience blue/s with visiting curator Essence Harden. Among the many educational opportunities for the Education and Public Programs Intern are on-the-job experiences and instruction that will:
• Enable them to develop experiential art programs for a diverse range of audiences of all ages and skill levels (25%),
• Produce written content to support ESMoA’s learning communities (25%),
• Demonstrate familiarity with the summer Experience when working with visiting K-12, emeritus, and family groups (25%),
• Develop relationships with arts professionals and artists in an energetic and creative environment (25%).
The candidate will work closely with the Director of Education and Director of Operations, and the final project will be the design and implementation of a public program or event at ESMoA.
