The Redondo Beach Library offers a variety of activities for all ages including music, writing, dance, language, reading, crafts and more!

A few require registration but all of them are FREE!

Writer’s Meetup @ Main Library

Calling all aspiring writers! Discuss topics writers want to explore, and have the opportunity to share information, get feedback on ideas and writing, and give and receive support and encouragement.

Spanish Language Practice @ Main Library

Both Adults and Teens are invited to this program. Improve your Spanish language skills through conversational practice under the guidance of a Spanish-speaking facilitator Olga Stohr. Participants should know a little Spanish.

Music Together @ Main Library

Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, first and second graders, and the adults who love them. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. No registration is required.

Self-Care Health Fair @Main Library

Learn about living a healthier lifestyle, and the ins and outs of self-care from experts in our South Bay community. Doors open at 5:00pm for light refreshments and the program begins promptly at 5:30pm. This program is sponsored by members of the South Bay Dementia Education Consortium.

Dance and Move Mondays with Dance 1 Studios @ Main Library

Children have the ability to process visual, tactile and auditory sensation that is aroused by music and movement. The storytime is hosted by Dance 1 Studios. A great way to engage your children with movement, dance and follow-along instructions.

Baby Lapsit (0 to 18 months with caregiver)** @ Main Library

Babies 0-18 months and their caregivers join in a fun storytime full of songs, rhymes and fingerplays!
**Session is limited to 40 individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. Get your numbered pass in the lobby starting at 10:00am.

Ready To Read (3 & 4 year olds) @ Main Library
Wednesdays at 12:30pm-1:00pm (11/6 & 11/13)

Children ages 3 to 5 years are encouraged to participate in this storytime. Each themed storytime includes literacy concepts to help get children ready to READ! Get your name tag at the Children’s desk starting at 12:15pm.

Toddlers ages 18-36 months enjoy age-appropriate stories, silly songs, rhymes and movement the incorporate emergent literacy concepts such as sounds, shapes, colors and counting.
