PIP offers community members the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of a Torrance Police Officer and the opportunity to learn the inner-workings of your police department. Participants will hear from a wide variety of details within the Torrance Police Department, including K-9, Forensics, Traffic, SWAT and many others.
The program consists of 12 sessions, meeting every Thursday night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Torrance Police Station beginning Thursday, September 7 and concluding on Thursday, November 30.
The PIP class is open to all those who reside or work in Torrance, and anyone else who has an affiliation with the City (i.e.; student in Torrance, member of a church in Torrance, member of a civic organization based in Torrance such as Kiwanis, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, etc). Participants must be 18 or older.
