El Segundo Public Library Re-Opens

Now Open

The El Segundo Public Library is pleased to announce that the library’s doors will be opening to the public beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 12 for hourly reservations.

During the initial phase of reopening, the library will be providing only essential services—browsing the collections, checkouts, computer use and research assistance—based on hourly reservations between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Library to Go and virtual services will continue.

To ensure the health and safety of customers and staff, only a limited number of people will be allowed into the building per reservation period. Reservations must be made for either the adult collection or the children’s collection; only those with reservations may enter.

All members of the public above the age of two will be required to wear face coverings, check their temperature upon entrance and observe social distancing. Those needing special accommodations for face coverings may contact Mark Herbert at 310-524-2732.

All customers will be expected to leave the building at the end of their reservation period so that staff can clean and prepare for the next reservation period. Reservations may be made one week in advance, beginning Monday, April 5.
