On July 21, 2021, the City of Los Angeles provided an update on the flooding at the Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant (located at 12000 Vista Del Mar, in the City of Los Angeles) on the its LA Sanitation Department website. This update includes a summary of events, water quality testing results, and a link to submit a claim if you feel you have lost money or property as a result of any action or inaction by the City of Los Angeles. Reimbursement eligibility requirements (such as geographic location and type of expense) are being developed by the City of Los Angeles. Again, please refer to the Los Angeles Sanitation Department website for updates.
The City of El Segundo is preparing a list of federal and state agencies for residents to contact to share information and/or ask questions with respect to the July 11, 2021 spill incident and subsequent recovery effort. This contact information will be added to the City’s website.
