Food for Life is looking for volunteers for the food delivery program.
The Food to Life mission is to deliver food to Veterans and Seniors in need, and they are affiliated with Meals on Wheels. What started out as an Orange County charity to feed Jewish seniors in need, has grown into a Southern California charity that delivers food to Veterans and Seniors in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties.
They need volunteers for food delivery in the South Bay, Long Beach and San Pedro.
They are so willing to make it convenient for the volunteers – the meals can be delivered to a local designated spot, where volunteers pick up and deliver them to those in need. The food is delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Because the organization started as a Jewish charity, the meals are Kosher.
