FALL PLANT POP UP
Saturday, October 13

Drop by the Gift Shop to pick up your fall plantings. The Propagation volunteer team has been growing plants especially for this sale, including: salvia, cuphea, plectranthus, California natives, cactus and succulents, fairy garden plants, pelagonium, African basil, bromeliads, and tillandsia. Flats of small succulents suitable for terrariums will be aplenty. Additionally, pavé planted succulent pumpkins and make-your-own succulent driftwood will be available for purchase.

SKETCHING IN THE GARDEN

Appropriate for all levels, this mostly outdoor class will have students sketching landscapes as well as close-up studies in an informal style that includes written notes and information within the journal. MODEL TRAIN SHOW

This annual Model Train Show is sponsored by the Los Angeles Division of the National Model Railroad Association. The finest modular trail layouts will be represented. “How to” clinics will be held on various railroad subjects throughout the day. Bring your own model cars and locomotives if you would like advice and assistance. Tracks will be set up in the Hall and in select display gardens.

KIDS CLUB: PUMPKIN PICASSO HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCE
Sunday, October 28
Noon: Costume Parade,
Adventure Stations 1-4 pm
Free with Membership or general admission
Bring your costumes and drop in for some pre-Halloween fun and pumpkin-inspired art. A costume parade will be held at noon with a prize for the most creative costume with time for a quick change and a snack before the Adventure Stations begin at 1pm. Learn about the biology of gourds, pumpkins and squashes, and search for the hidden pumpkin patch. Participants will construct pumpkin-themed art projects individually and collaboratively, some to stay at the Garden and some to take home.
