MBSAFE presents a screening of A Night in Jail on Monday, January 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. at American Martyrs Welcome Center.
Based on the book by local writer Heidi Swan and her brother Kirk Anderson, A Night In Jail depicts the connection between drug abuse, mental illness and homelessness. The movie was directed by award-winning filmmaker and Mira Costa student Ethan Nahlinder.
The movie will be followed by a Panel Discussion on the connection between homelessness, mental illness and drug addiction and possible solutions to this growing crisis.
