Jackie says: Rebel Republic was a hit before it even opened. The prime location in Riviera Village is only part of the equation though. The large interior is bright and airy and the bar is huge. It’s got the whole indoor/outdoor thing going on, and with ample seating on the patio, it’s a see-and-be-seen scene. Specialty cocktails, whiskey and craft beer take center stage and are impressive. Then there’s the food – it manages to be ‘modern’ and ‘comfort’ at the same time. The reasonably priced menu features a nice selection of convivial bites but only a few entrees. Every dish I’ve had was very tasty but it’s the deceivingly simple burger that stands out. I can’t remember the last time I had American cheese on anything, but when combined with two patties, sweet onions and Rebel’s special sauce, it’s drop dead delicious. Seriously, you will develop a craving for it.
