{Pages} bookstore will be hosting two Meet the Author & Book Signing events in January.
On Wednesday, January 18 at 7 p.m. {pages} will welcome Lisa Napoli, whose new book about late philanthropist Joan Kroc, Ray & Joan, was just published by Dutton Books. This fall, the movie The Founder, starring Michael Keaton, will focus the spotlight on Ray Kroc, the man who amassed a fortune as the chairman of McDonalds. But what about his wife, Joan, the woman who became famous for giving away his fortune? Lisa Napoli tells the fascinating story behind the historic couple.
On Thursday, January 19 at 7 p.m. {pages} will host A.J. Parker, author of The Chip. The Chip was written as an entertaining story in the vein of popular novels like The Hunger Games and the Divergent series, but it is also a cautionary tale about what happens when a society is cleaved in two by either real or perceived differences.
