Many of us are experiencing a disruption of mail service. Several Post Offices have been operating short handed for quite awhile. Mail has been delivered, at times, as late as 10 pm.
Today, the LA Times reported the US Postal Service will no longer be paying overtime. That means there are simply not enough hours to deliver the mail. If your route is later in the day, and a carrier is on vacation or sick, then your house will not get mail.
