Beach Cities Health District is looking for volunteers for Garden Prep Day on Wednesday, August 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.
On Wednesday, August 4, businesses, organizations and residents of the Beach Cities will come together with one mission—to create a healthy beach community.
The goal is to enhance our community’s health through the act of volunteerism. A simple act of volunteering can derive many health benefits such as higher rates of life satisfaction, social connections and longevity.
Support the LiveWell Kids Garden Program by volunteering in our school gardens in Redondo Beach to help prep them for the upcoming school year.
Activities include:
• Assembling composter
• Clearing garden beds
• Cultivating & adding soil
• Planting seeds
• Building garden boxes
