Introducing The Zimmermann Automobile Driving Museum

August 13, 2021

Around 2003, a new car museum was opened by a guy named Stanley. He explained the importance the importance of touching, sitting in, and riding in the cars. The new idea was novel and engaging.

By 2014, visitors recognized that almost everything was wrong. Stanley’s original concept had been strangled by ropes and neglect. Tom Fehn was appointed Director of Preservation in late 2014. For the next five years, we fixed it. Today, Stanley’s original concept is alive and thriving. The ADM is the only tactile and participatory car museum in the world, its existence has changed the mix of information available to collector car followers.

On the one-year anniversary of Stanley’s death and the 89th anniversary of his birth, the Board of Directors has reflected and considered Stanley’s importance in the foundation, development, and financial support of the museum and the tactile concept. The Board has determined that this must be publicly recognized. There is only one best way to do this. Accordingly, the Board has declared that from this day forward, we shall be known as The Zimmermann Automobile Driving Museum.
