BeachLife Festival Announces Speakeasy Stage Line-Up

February 21, 2020

BeachLife Festival has added a new stage to its already packed programming for their second annual event happening May 1 through May 3, 2020. The Speakeasy Stage presented by Jack Daniels will welcome rock legends and Southern California punk staples alike to perform stripped-down versions from their catalogs for an intimate experience that can only be found at BeachLife.

Confirmed for BeachLife’s first-ever Speakeasy stage include performances from Chris Shiflett (of Foo Fighters), Jim Lindberg (of Pennywise), Rhett Miller (of Old 97s), Trever Keith (of Face to Face), Jason Cruz (of Strung Out), plus a slew of additional unexpected troubadours. The Speakeasy will offer festival attendees an opportunity to hear some of their favorite punk and rock anthems in an acoustic format; re-imagined especially for BeachLife’s signature laid-back, oceanfront setting.

“It’s a natural progression to include music from the punk scene in a way that works with the vibe of the festival,” BeachLife Creative Director Jim Lindberg tells Billboard Magazine. “It’s a stripped down, bare bones, authentic and real experience that seems like the perfect way to represent this big part of the local culture.” He continues, “everyone started on the acoustic guitar and you eventually come back to that. And I’ve always believed that a good song has to sound good on the acoustic guitar as well.”

Three-day passes to BeachLife Festival are on sale now, with a complete list of Speakeasy performers. SINGLE DAY TICKETS GO ON SALE FEBRUARY 24.
