August 11, 2020
As with all Women’s Voices in Tech events, this virtual event will bring together some of the most successful and interesting women techies in Los Angeles and beyond. Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your professional network!
In August and September, Women’s Voices in Tech spotlights women tech C.E.O.s of color and how they successfully overcame gender and racial obstacles on their way to the top!
The business world has long been a boys’ club. Women C.E.O.s and founders of color make up a small portion of entrepreneurs who have reached the top. The special guest is Aisha Bowe, Aerospace Engineer, Founder and CEO of STEMBoard. Defying the odds is central to Bowe’s story. She wasn’t a straight-A student or a high achiever in high school. But thanks to some serious prodding by her dad, a list of goals and quelled insecurities, Bowe was able to send her career into orbit.
Aisha is the Founder and CEO of STEMBoard, a tech company that specializes in utilizing big data to create smart systems and software solutions for clients across the public and private sectors. Prior to founding STEMBoard, Bowe was an Aerospace Engineer at the NASA Ames Research Center where she focused on miniaturized satellites and aircraft trajectory optimization.
In this session, Aisha talks about:
Her path to NASA,
The founding of STEMBoard
Lingo, an at-home coding kit for kids ages 13 and up that she created
Her advice for minorities and women aspiring to be leaders, entrepreneurs and engineers.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from, and meet, this successful and renowned woman entrepreneur!
Attendees will be contacted with the Zoom URL for this meeting approximately 1 hour prior to this event.
This event is FREE to attend.
