Over the past few years, the South Bay has become foodie heaven – talented chefs and ground-breaking restauranteurs are flocking to our patch of sand. Just about every week a new eatery opens their doors for business somewhere in our bubble offering unique, delicious, inspiring dishes.
It’s not easy keeping up with all of them, especially when you have a craving for something you already know and crave….a grilled cheese at Hey 19, a panini at Creme De La Crepe, tacos at Hot’s Kitchen, tapas at Mediterraneo, any pizza at Eatalian, the breakfast sandwich at Zinc@Shade, the pork belly sandwich at The Slip, any dish at DeLuca’s, the Nutella/Marshmallow pizza at Orlando’s, the Ultimate Burger at Rock & Brews, Margaritas at Ortega 120, the bar menu at Bouzy, or any piece of juicy, red meat at Steak & Whiskey. Oh, there is no shortage of great food….
With all these fabulous options, I still get excited when a new spot opens and can’t wait to try them. A couple of recent standouts are Rebel Republic and Azure Mediterranean Grill. I’ve eaten at both several times and already have favorites – the burger at Rebel and feteer at Azure. Make a point to stop by and try them….your tastebuds will thank you.
