Have you ever wondered about the plants you pass by each day on your way to work or school? How about when you stroll through your neighborhood or local hiking path? Identifying plants correctly is a valuable skill as many local “weeds” are medicinal and/or edible.
Join instructor Amanda Jones for an interactive hour long walk in and around the SEA Lab wo learn about the common plants in our neighborhoods that many overlook for food and medicine.
Group size is limited. Children are welcome.
Amanda Jones is a wild food educator and has been teaching in various science fields for over 20 years. She is currently teaching an apprenticeship about wild plants and their edible, medicinal and spiritual qualities.
