July 10, 2016
Dine Around the Peninsula is the culinary event of the year, with area chefs showcasing their creativity, and restaurants offering carefully curated, prix fixe menus.
The Hill is home to a variety of terrific restaurants and the ten day event will feature established favorites, in addition to several newcomers.
Members of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, head chefs, restaurant owners and managers, sponsors and local media gathered on the patio at Mar’sel for sips and bites on a dazzling summer evening.
Mar’sel provided attendees with a gorgeous and delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres, while One Hope Winery poured several lovely vintages.
The restauranteurs were excited to share their plans for the event – I caught up with Chef Ibarra, Executive Chef at Terranea, and owner of A Basq Kitchen at Redondo Marina, and spoke at length with Fernando Romero, Owner of the new Corazon Mexican Kitchen located on Deep Valley Drive.
Dine Around the Peninsula will take place July 15 through July 24 at select area restaurants and while I look forward to returning to a few of my personal favorites, I’m really excited to try some of the newer spots.
Diners can choose from select breakfast, lunch and dinner menus at over twenty participating restaurants. No tickets, passes or coupons are required but advance reservations are recommended.
Be sure to put this on your calendar – it’s a great opportunity to find your new, favorite restaurant!
