ALERT SOUTH BAY is replacing NIXLE for mass public notifications.
Thirteen South Bay cities have established an alert and warning notification system as part of an integrated, inter-operable regional platform. The Alert South Bay (via Everbridge) is an emergency notification system aimed to keep communities informed about disasters and major emergencies via SMS (text), email, phone, landline, as well as other means of communication.
The notification system gives city, police, fire, and emergency management the ability to deliver critical notifications to the community. The Alert South Bay notification system replaces all existing notification systems including NIXLE.
