Shiok, a new Asian street food concept, opens its doors in Torrance today, Saturday, September 28 at 11 a.m.
Shiok is a collaboration between three friends who ate their way through Asia – from Bangkok to Taipei, Manila to Singapore, Hong Kong to Saigon and Seoul to Tokyo. These experiences inspired them to bring back the bold, bright flavors and lively spirit of Asia’s legendary markets to So Cal. Activate and delight all of the senses with the classics – a bowl, bao or banh mi assembled exactly to your heart’s desire.
Some notable favorites include a Crispy Golden Bao, Hot Chicken Bao is a fluffy “taco” bao loaded with spicy fried chicken, Grilled Lemongrass Steak Banh Mi made with fresh-baked baguette and Bourbon chicken liver pate and a Cha Cha Noodle Salad topped with a brandy infused grilled pork. Pair these favorites with a handcrafted drink such as Strawberry Shortcake, Honey Boba Tea or Siamese Chill.
Feeling bold? Shiok will also offer a “craft your own bowl, bao or banh mi.”
The restaurant will be open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Shiok is located at 2595 Airport Drive, Torrance, CA 90505.
