Self-Publishing Workshop

July 13, 2019

The Redondo Beach Public Library will host a Self-Publishing Workshop on Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with Christopher J. Lynch.

Los Angeles native Christopher J. Lynch has written for numerous local and national publications. His debut crime novel One Eyed Jack was a 2013 Shamus Award finalist, and a Writer’s Digest honorable mention for best self-published genre fiction. He also wrote Eddie, the authorized biography of Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell from Leave it to Beaver.)

In this workshop you will learn about: the pros and cons of self-publishing; editing; how to get your manuscript printed; how to format and distribute your manuscript as an eBook or print-on-demand; ISBN’s and bar-codes; costs of services; pricing; and sales channels and promotion. There will be a step-by-step demonstration of an e-book being uploaded and created on Amazon.

Even if you have attended this workshop before, there have been changes in the industry and this new presentation has been updated to cover the latest changes.

This program is FREE and open to the public, no registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Redondo Beach Public Library.
