Redondo Beach Libraries Re-Open

April 19, 2021

The Redondo Beach Public Library welcomes patrons back on Monday, April 19 for “grab n’ go” browsing.

To ensure the safety of our staff and patrons, the Library will follow all County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health protocols. The buildings will be open for browsing and limited computer and reference service only. Patron numbers will be metered to ensure the buildings do not exceed 75% capacity. Patrons will be limited to 30 minutes or less in the buildings. There will be no seating available except at a limited number of public access computers that will be available for 30 minutes per day per user. Newspapers, room rentals, study rooms, and children’s toys will not be available at this time.

Face coverings will be required except for children ages 2 and under and patrons will be required to maintain a 6-foot distance between all individuals not in the same family.

Sneeze guards will be in place at all service desks, and hand sanitizing stations will be available for the public at both locations.

Library Takeout will be suspended but patrons who are unable to come inside the building due to medical concerns can call the library to arrange for an outdoor delivery of items they have placed on hold.
