There was some discussion at a recent Redondo Beach City Council meeting about revamping the Riviera Village Farmers’ Market….
“DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE WEEKLY CLOSURE OF A SECTION OF THE TRIANGLE PARKING LOT ADJACENT TO S. ELENA AVENUE BETWEEN AVENIDA DEL NORTE AND VIA EL PRADO ON SUNDAYS BETWEEN 6 A.M. AND 2 P.M. FOR THE RIVIERA VILLAGE FARMERS MARKET”

This market has never been as robust as other local markets. There aren’t enough vendors to attract a larger customer base and parking seems to be an issue. Maybe people have too much happening on Friday afternoon/evening to think about running to a farmers’ market? Moving it to the triangle parking lot on Sunday morning could work. Let’s give it a try and see what develops!
