King of the Harbor Skateboard Championships

November 17, 2019

The Redondo Beach Police Department is proud to present the annual King of the Harbor Skateboard Championships on Sunday, November 17 at 10 a.m. at the Redondo Pier.

This FREE event is open to all levels of skaters between ages 8 to 18 – all are invited to participate and compete. Registered participants will receive a free T-shirt, trophies, lunch, snacks, cool giveaways, prizes and more provided FREE courtesy of the generous sponsors. The winner’s names will be inscribed on the perpetual trophy that will hang at the Police Station. You can choose to just come out and skate all day at the Pier, or you can compete to win prizes and be crowned King of the Harbor! There will be music and lots of other cool stuff.

This year, they’ve partnered with Beachlife Backyard Games to make the event even bigger and better. There will be a 5′ Half Pipe in the layout, pro-skaters including Tony Alva will be there and an adult competition will be held after the youth portion of the event. In addition to all of this, Beachlife will host an after party at Barney’s Beanery.

Skateboarders, thrashers and shredders of all levels can register online at http://www.redondo.org/skateboard.

Waivers must signed by parents or legal guardians for skaters under 18 years of age and helmets are required.
