Kids Extreme

The City of Manhattan Beach Parks & Recreation Department presents the annual Kids Extreme on Sunday, August 18 at 9 a.m. at Begg Pool and Field in Polliwog Park.

This event promotes a fun and healthy way for kids to have a feeling of accomplishment and encourage self-esteem. Participants should be ready to swim, run and go over, under, through and between various obstacles. Mud, tires, hay, water, walls, and much more will be provided to challenge your physical ability.

Participants must bring a swim suit, goggles, running shoes, shorts, shirt, towel(s), sunscreen, water and a change of clothes.

The course consists of:

-100 yard swim (Participants ages: 5 to 8 and those in the Family Division will swim 25 yards; Participants ages: 9 to 10 will swim 50 yards)
-1K run
-200 yard obstacle course

Every athlete will receive a participant medal. The first 25 children registered will receive a FREE T-Shirt. Trophies will be given for 1st to 3rd place per age group for boys and girls.

The cost is $40/$45/$50.
