The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is proud to present the annual Hermosa Beach Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 16 beginning at 11 a.m. The parade begins at the staging area near City Hall on Valley Drive, makes a left onto Pier Avenue and ends at the corner of Hermosa Avenue and 10th Street.
Over 100 local businesses, civic organizations and school marching bands will take part in the seven-block parade down Pier Avenue. Other participants include bagpipers from the Emerald Society, floats and our four-legged friends from the Irish Setters Club of Southern California. New this year are the Budweiser Clydesdale Horses, and a Dumbo-themed parade float from Disney. Radio broadcaster Mark Williard will be announcing the parade at step-off, and Kinecta will be hosting a free ice cream truck in their parking lot.
The ‘Wearing of the Green’ is a time-honored tradition. Don’t be surprised to find yourself ordering corned beef and cabbage, savoring a pint of Guinness, singing Danny Boy and kissing perfect strangers. Ya gotta love the Irish!
