Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internships @ ESMoA

Calling all undergraduate students! Are you interested in learning what it’s like to work for an art nonprofit? Would you like to know more about career opportunities in the arts?

ESMoA is seeking two summer interns as part of the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program. Interns will work for a ten-week work period between July and September 2020, with a stipend of $6,000. The internships are for a Communications and Digital Media Intern and an Education and Public Programs Intern.

Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship: Communications and Digital Media Intern

Working closely with the Director of Education and Director of Information and Media, the Communications & Digital Media Intern will assist the ESMoA team with
• Marketing and digital engagement,
• Curate content for ESMoA’s online platforms,
• Design promotional materials for our annual Video Art + Film held in Fall 2020.

Some archival responsibilities such as saving and storing documentation from ESMoA’s public programs and events on ESMoA’s digital archive.

Interns must meet the following criteria for consideration:
• Be of a group underrepresented in museums and visual arts organizations, including, but not limited to, individuals of African American, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, or Pacific Islander descent;
• Be currently enrolled undergraduates. Students must have completed at least one semester or two-quarters of college by June 2020. Students graduating in May or June 2020 are also eligible. (Students who are enrolled in a second BA or BS program are not eligible.)
• Reside or attend college in Los Angeles County; and
• Be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship: Education and Public Programs Intern

Working closely with the Director of Education and the Director of Operations, the Education and Public Program Intern will assist the ESMoA team with the development and implementation of ESMoA’s arts education programs that complement STARDUST (extended through Summer/Fall 2020). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Focus on the development and implementation of ESMoA’s arts education programs including talks, open studios, intergenerational workshops
• JUST DRAW for adults,
• Public programs that take place on-site and off-site ESMoA.

Working closely with ESMoA’s Director of Education, the Intern’s final project will be the design and implementation of a public program or event at ESMoA concurrent with Experience 45: STARDUST.

Interns must meet the following criteria for consideration:
