Community Education Night: Hidden Signs of Addiction

February 21, 2019

Torrance Memorial Medical Center will host a Community Education Night: Hidden Signs of Addiction on Thursday, February 21 at 6 p.m. at Fusion South Bay Campus.

There are many signs a teenager is using drugs, but it can be difficult to tell the difference between experimentation and drug abuse. Learn how to recognize the hidden signs of addiction from Dr. Donnie W. Watson, program director of the Thelma McMillen Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and how to treat the situation as a family. Hear from Todd S., a prevention specialist at the Thelma McMillen Center, who knows the pressures South Bay teens experience. Todd is an alumnus of Palos Verdes High School and is now four years sober pursuing a career in health care services. He will share the insights he wishes someone had shared with him in high school.

Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP is appreciated at http://www.fusionacademy.com/south-bay/event/signs-of-addiction/.

Fusion South Bay Campus is located at 1601 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 260, Hermosa Beach 90254.
