The City of Lomita is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on its Public Safety and Traffic Commission with a term ending in June 2023 and a separate vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Commission with the term ending in June 2025.
Lomita residents who are both 18 and older and registered to vote are encouraged to apply. Each Commission consists of five members appointed by the City Council and act in a advisory capacity to the City Council. Meetings are held once a month at 6 p.m. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend a commission meeting.
