Classic Car Show Cruise Nights

Every Friday: June 18 through August 27, 2021

Classic Car Show Cruise Nights will take place this summer at the Redondo Marina!

Open to the public, this free event happens every Friday night from 3 to 6:30 p.m. from June through August and features a gathering of vintage automobiles on display in the Marina parking lot from 4 to 8 p.m.

Enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their hot rods, street rods and muscle cars and strut their stuff. A favorite with local car enthusiasts, this popular event has grown tremendously over the years and features vintage and classic cars from all over Southern California.

Goat Yoga

Style on the Spot presents Goat Yoga on Saturday, June 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Manhattan Village.

Goat Yoga? You’ve GOAT to be kidding me. Not a ba-a-a-a-a-ad way to relieve stress. Come get your BAAHMASTE on with some zen baby goats in the outdoor Manhattan Village Plaza and join in a yoga class like you’ve never experienced.

The Mira Costa End Epilepsy Club presents Epipalooza on Saturday, June 19 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at South Bay Customs.

Enjoy tunes by local teen bands – Radio Rebels, PennyRoyal, Salem Meade, The Dropoffs, Redacted, Cooper Jones and Emma Powell-Wyse. The event also features a silent auction and food for purchase.

All proceeds benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Los Angeles.

Kontrapunktus: OPUS SIX: The Magic of Handel

KONTRAPUNKTUS is set to premiere its third virtual concert, OPUS SIX: The Magic of Handel, on YouTube Live via their Kontrapunktus Baroque YouTube channel on Saturday, June 19 at 7:00 PM PST.

Entitled OPUS SIX: The Magic of Handel, KONTRAPUNKTUS will be performing four richly nuanced, yet seldom played concertos by the immortal Baroque composer, George Frideric Handel.

The movements to the music contain a full range of compositional styles, including airs, fugues, themes, and dance variations. It would be one of Handel’s last compositions in the Italian style.

Riviera Village Garden Concert Series

The Village Garden in Riviera Village will host The Garden Concert Series on Saturday, June 19 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

The Garden Concert Series is an exciting new performance venue located one block from the beach in Redondo. GCS is an intimate chamber concert performed by the Constellation Quartet with a selection of popular, film, and world music, and a new special guest each month. The concert this month features Cliff Beach, multitalented singer, songwriter and performer.

Funk music artist Cliff Beach has been performing live for more than 17 years in Los Angeles. The Berkley trained singer/songwriter/keyboardist and DC native has created a style of music he coins as “Nu-funk”, a hybrid of soul, traditional R&B, funk and neo-soul which he performs regularly throughout Southern California.

Fair Trade Rug Event

Ten Thousand Villages presents the annual Fair Trade Rug Event Friday, June 25 through Wednesday, June 30 at the shop in Redondo Beach from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event will feature a large selection of Tribal, Bokhara and Persian rugs with classic to contemporary designs in sizes from 2’x3 to 10’x14, with square, round, rectangle, oval and runner configurations. All of the rugs are hand-knotted by fairly paid adults in Pakistan.

Beach Cities Relay For Life: Drive Through Luminaria Event

The community is invited to join the American Cancer Society and Beach Cities Relay for Life Drive Through Luminaria Event on Saturday, June 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.

Participants will stay in the safety of their cars and honor and remember loved ones from their vehicles; by driving through the Redondo Beach Performing Art parking-lot. Luminaria bags will be displayed curbside.

Lomita Founder’s Day Fireworks Show

The City of Lomita will celebrate Founder’s Day this year with a Fireworks Show on Saturday, June 26 at 9 p.m.

The annual Founder’s Day Celebration usually brings thousands of people to Lomita Park, However, this year city officials ask residents not to congregate at Lomita Park due to the corona virus.

The parking lot and park will be closed.

Instead, they ask that you view the fireworks from your yard or neighborhood.

Dog Walking Hours @ SCBG

Grab a Leash! The South Coast Botanic Garden has scheduled Dog Walking Hours for Sunday, June 27 starting at 9 a.m.

Are you looking for more space and time for you and your four-legged friend to take a stroll? The special dog walking hours will allow you to enjoy the Garden with your best four-legged friend. The Dog Walking Hours will be from 9am to 5pm on the third Sunday of the month (May 16).

Members are free! General Ticket Prices: $15/adult, $11/senior, $5/child. All Dogs: $5 each. Advance reservations are still required, so be sure to get them before they sell out!
