The Redondo Beach Library offers a variety of activities for all ages including music, writing, dance, language, reading, crafts and more.

A few require registration but all of them are FREE!

LA Kings 5K/10K Run/Walk

Join the LA Kings and the Kings Care Foundation for the annual LA Kings 5K/10K Run/Walk fundraiser on Saturday, September 18 at 6:45 a.m.

The LA Kings 5K in Redondo Beach is BACK, signaling the start of the 2021-22 NHL season is near! But before the LA Kings hit the ice for Training Camp and Pre-Season, let’s take it ocean-side to the streets of Riviera Village in South Redondo Beach.

Register for the LA Kings 5K on September 18th where you can run, glide, skip or skate your way through downtown shops and restaurants beside the sparkling ocean for 3.1 miles.

Entry fees include a ticket for a 2021-22 LA Kings home game, a race t-shirt and participant medal! All proceeds benefit Kings Care Foundation.

LA Kings players, Bailey, Ice Crew and more will be there and the event’s esteemed host, Daryl Evans!

Lobster Rock Weekend @ Ragin Cajun

Head to Ragin Cajun for a Lobster Rock Weekend on Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19!

The events features those fabulous crustaceans, food and drink specials and live music by Feed the Kitty, Tatiana Erse, Courtney McKenna and the Roach Kaylor Band.

Festival of the Kite

September 19, 2021

Should you notice the sky above the coastline bursting with colorful, odd shaped objects exhibiting remarkable maneuvering ability, do not be alarmed. This is no alien invasion. No, it’s only the most ancient example of man yearning to fly. The annual Festival of the Kite takes place on Sunday, September 19 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Redondo Beach Pier.

Yoga on the Pier

September 22 & 29, 2021

The Redondo Beach Pier Association hosts Yoga on the Pier every Wednesday in September from 6 to 7 p.m.

Bring a yoga mat, towel and water. All levels welcome. The class will take place on the west end of the Pier.

This is a socially distanced outdoor yoga class. Face coverings and/or masks are recommended. Visitors must adhere to the Los Angeles County Public Health Officer orders.

This class is FREE!

Rods, Rides & Relics Car Show

Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital and the Redondo Pier Association present the annual Rods, Rides & Relics Car Show on Sunday, September 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Redondo Pier.

A favorite with local car enthusiasts, Rods, Rides & Relics features some of the finest classic cars in the South Bay. 100 cars will be displayed over the water on The Pier. Take a stroll along the pier, view the cars and then vote for your favorite. (Cars in this event are by invitation only.)

Let’s Connect Mixer

The South Bay Women’s Conference hosts the monthly Let’s Connect Mixer at Beauty a the Bay on Tuesday, September 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Come network with incredible business women of the South Bay and support a local business. (Men are also welcome at these mixers!)

Rocktoberfest @ Seaside Lagoon

Ragin Cajun will host Rocktoberfest Friday, October 15 through Sunday, October 17 at Seaside Lagoon.

It will be a weekend of beer, brats, burgers and rock and roll!

Tribute bands will cover the greatest rock and roll music in the world from Queen, The Eagles, Pink Floyd to Led Zepplin, Oingo Boingo, Van Halen, U2, ZZ Top and more!

Proceeds to support the American Cancer Society & the Beach Cities Relay For Life.

Halloween Costume Contest & Dance Party

The Redondo Pier Association presents Halloween on the Pier on Friday, October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Wear your most horrific costume and plan to dance the night away. There will be prizes! Free Halloween themed balloons, boat rides (free admission for anyone in costume between 5 and 8 p.m.), DJ, selfie wall, sponsor giveaways, trick-or-treat on the boardwalk and pier (between 5 and 8 p.m.)

The event is FREE to attend and all ages are welcome.

Redondo Beach Community Awards

The Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce presents the annual Redondo Beach Community Awards on Thursday, October 28 at 11:30 a.m.

There are so many amazing individuals in the community and the Chamber invites you to submit nominations for both the “Man and Woman of the Year” Awards which will be presented at the Chamber’s annual Community Awards Ceremony.

Nominees do not have to be Chamber members and political figures are not eligible for the award.

The award is presented to two individuals who have distinguished themselves by significantly contributing to our community in the following areas:

Haunted Halloween Movie Night & Costume Contest

The Redondo Beach Police Department will host the Haunted Halloween Move Night & Costume Contest on Friday, October 29 at 6 p.m.

Be sure to dress in your best costumes for a screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Attendees will enjoy candy and popcorn, games and a photo booth.

Let It Snow!

The Redondo Beach Police Department presents Let It Snow! on Saturday, December 4 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Seaside Lagoon.

The community is invited to Seaside Lagoon for an afternoon frolicking in REAL SNOW!

Enjoy cocoa, cookies and crafts, and photo ops with Santa. Take a ride down the snow hill, test your aim with snowball throwing and make a craft at Santa’s workshop. There will also be a Crazy Holiday Hat Contest with prizes!

Attendees are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy, coat or gift card for children and families in need.

Holiday Concert & Santa at the Redondo Beach Pier

The Redondo Pier Association presents the annual Holiday Concert & Santa on the Pier on Saturday, December 11 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The event features live music and attendees are encouraged to sing along to all the most popular holiday favorites.

Santa will be holding court on the pier, so be sure to bring your list and be on your best behavior. The event also features giveaways and surfing Santa photos. Attendees are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Love in the Mirror Toy Drive.
